Church damaged in attack
A church in County Down has been extensively damaged in an overnight attack.

A total of 26 windows of St Mary's on the Downs Road in Newcastle were smashed in the attack.

The damage was discovered at 0645 GMT on Monday.

It is the second time in a number of weeks that the church has been damaged.

The police have appealed for information.
