Security increased at NI airports
Belfast International Airport
Passengers are asked to keep hand luggage to a minimum
Security measures have been stepped up at Belfast International airport in light of terrorist attacks in America.

Passengers have been urged to bring very little hand luggage and check in all other baggage.

There is also widespread disruption at Belfast City Airport and at airports in the Irish Republic.

Emergency air traffic control restrictions are preventing planes from flying over central London.

Cancelled

At Belfast International Airport flights bound for the United States are not scheduled to leave until tomorrow.

Five Easyjet flights to Britain have also been cancelled.

At Belfast City Airport, four British European flights to London have been cancelled.

In Dublin, all trans-atlantic flights have been delayed indefinitely.

Anyone who needs flight information is asked to contact the different airlines directly.
