| Monday, 28 May, 2001, 10:04 GMT 11:04 UK River hit by fish kill ![]() Scores of fish have been killed Hundreds of fish have been killed along a mile of the Inver river in Larne. It is believed they died as a result of a pollution spill. Frank Quigley of the Larne and District Game and Angling Club said this was the second time in four years the river has been decimated. He said a change of attitude was needed urgently. Speaking on Monday, Mr Quigley said: "Our rivers have just been treated like somewhere to get rid of effluent, that's been the attitude." |
