In pictures: Your worst potholes

The snow is going to cause even more potholes in the roads, warn council and engineers. These pictures from Dawn Redwood of potholes in Clayhidon, Devon, show just how deep and wide they can get when they're not repaired.

The same thing happened to Phil George on Christmas Eve after he drove over this pothole in Rignall Road, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.

Some potholes do get repaired, like this one in Camberwell Road, south London. But Victor, who sent the photo, says a bus ride down the street is still bumpy.
