Wiltshire police are set to tackle anti-social behaviour in Swindon with a new mobile police office. The vehicle will allow officers to issue fixed penalty notices, warnings and on the spot fines. The Swindon Community Safety Partnership purchased the vehicle to tackle crime, substance abuse and inappropriate language and behaviour. Supt Kier Pritchard said the new vehicle showed the "determination to deal with anti-social behaviour". Supt Pritchard said: "No-one wants to go out and be confronted by unruly behaviour and this vehicle will make it easier for officers to issue penalty notices and show that we are taking such behaviour seriously." The mobile office will be parked in areas experiencing anti-social behaviour to act as a deterrent.
