Honda production at record levels
Production at Honda's UK factory in Swindon, Wiltshire, is set to reach a record high this year.

The Japanese car giant said it expected to build 193,000 cars at its plant - 4.5% more than in 2003.

A growing demand in Europe created by more diesel products means exports from Swindon will be increasingly switched from the US to Europe, Honda said.

Honda, which employs 4,000 in Swindon, said it expected car sales in Europe to reach 253,000 - up 16% on 2003 figures.
