Special school future considered
The fate of a special needs school in Swindon is to be decided by councillors.

One of the options is to close the Chalet School which caters for youngsters with learning difficulties.

Just 25 out of 42 places are being used at the moment, which has prompted the Local Education Authority to consider its future.

Other options include the school becoming a department of another, or it closing completely.

There will be a full consultation over the next three months, with final recommendations put forward in October.
