Delph has come through the Leeds academy

Leeds United midfielder Fabian Delph has appeared in court charged with drink driving.

The 19-year-old from Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, was arrested in Rothwell, Leeds on 23 December and subsequently charged with the offence.

Leeds magistrates released him on bail to reappear again on 27 January.

The player signed his first professional contract with Leeds last year after coming up from the ranks of the club's training academy.

He made his debut with the England under-21s last November.
