A runway demonstration by protesting French students delayed a low-cost airline flight returning to Leeds Bradford airport on Monday night. The action by protesters at Chambery airport in the French Alps stopped passengers from boarding the aircraft. The student demonstration meant that another Jet2.com flight from Manchester to Chambery was diverted to the French town of Grenoble. The plane eventually returned to Yorkshire several hours late.
