City to mark end of World War II
Thousands of people in West Yorkshire are expected to attend one of the biggest World War II commemoration events taking place outside London.

Veterans from across West Yorkshire have been invited to a service and parade at Wakefield Cathedral for the 60th anniversaries of VE and VJ day.

There will also be wreath-laying at the cenotaph and a fly past by a Battle of Britain Lancaster Bomber.

About 60 Yorkshire reservists are to be presented with Iraq service medals.
