| A policewoman has been injured in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle while responding to a 999 call. The officer was driving a marked car along Gelderd Road, Birstall, when it collided with the lorry and overturned on Thursday night. Fire crews had to cut the woman from the wreckage and she was taken to Dewsbury District Hospital suffering minor injuries. The driver of the lorry was not injured in the crash.
