Pace makes boxes for digital television
Television set-top box maker Pace Micro Technology is being investigated about a possible breach of stock market rules.

The firm, based at Saltaire in West Yorkshire, confirmed the probe in a statement to the stock market.

Pace said it could not comment until the matter was concluded.

The investigation is thought to be based around the proper disclosure of information. It is not thought to concern share dealings.

Pace also said results for the year to 29 May were expected to be in line with market expectations, which are currently for profits of 5m against the previous year's break-even performance.

The firm had a difficult time in 2001 and 2002 as the company bore the brunt of the ITV Digital collapse and the difficulties of cable operators.
