A man was killed in a motorcycle crash that left his 10-year-old son fighting for life. Police say the man, who is from Harrogate, died in the accident on the A1 at Micklefield, West Yorkshire, when the bike struck the central barrier.
His son, a pillion passenger on the Suzuki bike, is critically ill following the smash on Saturday.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the A1 was closed until 0200 BST on Sunday.
