A 16-year-old boy has appeared in court accused of attempted murder and kidnap in connection with an shooting in Leeds. The teenager was arrested after a 25-year-old woman was allegedly abducted in Saville Road, Chapeltown, on 10 December.
She was then driven to the A58 Wetherby Road where she sustained a number of gunshot wounds to her legs, police said.
The boy, who cannot be named, was flanked by two security officers during the brief hearing at Leeds Youth Court.
He was remanded in secure local authority accommodation to appear at the same court on Tuesday.
