City's transport under spotlight
Birmingham's transport problems are to come under the spotlight as a city delegation meets MPs and peers.

The meeting in London on Monday will focus on new efforts to persuade the government to speed up the revamp of New Street station.

Business and council figures will argue that better decision-making locally could ease travel congestion.

Gerry Blackett, from Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, said past efforts at lobbying MPs have not been good enough.
