Prince Philip during a visit to Birmingham
Prince Philip met those caught up in the tornado
The Duke of Edinburgh has visited residents in Birmingham who were affected by the summer tornado.

Prince Philip met emergency services staff and the city council's emergency planning team at a Sparkbrook balti restaurant which was also hit.

Twenty people were injured - three of them seriously - after estimated winds of 130mph hit the area in July.

On Tuesday, the prince toured displays showing the tornado's impact and the repair and recovery work done.

He spent time in Sparkbrook to see the damage caused to some of the houses and businesses.
