Two teenage girls, allegedly caught smoking heroin in the toilets of a West Midlands school, have had their punishment increased. The pupils, aged 14 and 13, were originally suspended for three days from Tividale High School in Oldbury on Friday 4 March.
But teachers complained to the education authority and the exclusion was extended to 10 days.
West Midlands Police are said to have been informed.
Ian Jones, the cabinet member for education on Sandwell Council, told BBC WM the suspension period would be reassessed after the 10 days had passed.
