Police hunt for railway arsonists
Police investigating an arson attack on signal boxes which caused delays to thousands of rail commuters have renewed their appeal for witnesses.

British Transport Police questioned motorists and pedestrians in Small Heath, Birmingham, on Sunday night about the fire.

Services between Snow Hill and Warwickshire were affected and have been seriously disrupted all week.

Police said three teenage boys may have seen signal boxes being set on fire.

Special task force

Network Rail have already put up a 50,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.

It is thought that equipment cabinets between Small Heath and Tyseley stations in Birmingham were set on fire at about 2100 BST on Sunday.

Transport police have created a special task force to find the people who carried out this and a series of similar incidents in the West Midlands and Warwickshire area.

Officers also handed out leaflets to motorists and passers-by to try and jog people's memories.
