Locals leafleted over Asbo teen
Hundreds of leaflets have been distributed in the Eastfield area of Wolverhampton to raise awareness of a teenager given an Asbo last week.

Under the two-year order David Smith, 16, is banned from entering an area bordered by several roads including Deans Road and Stow Heath Lane.

He is also prohibited from using violent or abusive behaviour or driving any vehicle without a license.

The leaflets show a picture of Smith and outline the conditions of his Asbo.

'Share concerns'

West Midlands Police are not allowed to distribute the picture outside the area Smith is banned from.

Ch Supt Andy Armstrong, commander at Wolverhampton East, said: "We are not here to protect yobs, but we do have to work within the law.

"We share concerns of local people whose lives are blighted by anti-social behaviour.

"It is thanks to their co-operation that we have had this opportunity to obtain this anti-social behaviour order."
