Two drive-by shootings in city
Detectives are investigating two separate drive-by shootings in Birmingham.

The first took place at 1845 BST on Thursday in Frederick Road, Aston, when shots were fired between a number of vehicles.

The occupants of one or more vehicles are then believed to have driven to Brantley Road, in Witton, where more shots were discharged.

Inspector Kevin Kelsey, from West Midlands Police, said no one is believed to have been injured.

"The situation remains confused as we try and trace witnesses," he said.

"It's not clear who was involved or who the intended victims were.

"We can't stress highly enough our concern that people are prepared to use firearms in a built-up area on a summer's evening.

"It's crucial that anyone with any information comes forward."
