Tram challenge for Olympic boxer Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries won in a race against a 109-year-old tram which was held to encourage more people to exercise outdoors. The Sunderland boxer took on the challenge at the Beamish Museum, in County Durham, on Monday. He raced the museum's number 16 tram in a mile-long sprint. The race marked the start of a scheme by County Durham Tourism Partnership to encourage people to take exercise in beauty spots and green spaces.
