Airgun alert for armed police
Armed police were called out in the latest of a series of airgun incidents on Tyneside.

They responded to a report a man with air rifles was firing into the air from the jetty at Hebburn Marina, in South Tyneside, at 1515 BST on Monday.

A 33-year-old man, from Jarrow, has been reported for discharging a weapon in a public place.

Meanwhile, a 36-year-old North Shields man is due before magistrates on Tuesday charged with five offences after an airgun incident in Silkeys Lane, North Shields, on Sunday.
