Keegan return sparks road warning

Bolton will be the first team to face Keegan's Newcastle
Motorists are being urged to avoid Newcastle city centre on Saturday ahead of the Magpies' first match under new manager Kevin Keegan.

Northumbria Police said heavy traffic is expected around St James' Park, and warned some roads in the area will be closed from 1200 GMT until 1530 GMT.

Anyone planning to visit the city centre should use public transport, said a force spokesman.

Drivers travelling into Newcastle should allow extra time, he added.

Newcastle take on Bolton in the Premier League match, which kicks off at 1715 GMT.
