Graphic images showing the horrific consequences of car crime and dangerous driving will be shown to teenagers to encourage them to be better drivers. Around 40 youths aged 17 to 19 from across Northumberland will take part in the road show at RAF Boulmer on Sunday.
They include ex-offenders with a history of car crime, as well as school and college students.
The event is part of Positive Futures - a Home Office programme to involve youths in sports and other activities.
The RAF, the emergency services, the AA, and the Driving Standards Agency will take part in the event.
Safe driving
Blown up photographs of road accident scenes involving youngsters will be shown and a reconstruction of a fire crew cutting an accident "victim" from a crashed car will take place.
Those attending will receive lessons on safe driving and how to react in an emergency.
Police officers will give a talk to the young offenders about the law in relation to car crimes.
The event has been organised by Emma Cochrane, from Castle Morpeth Borough Council.
She said: "We hope that some of the important points that we are trying to deliver will reach the young people involved."
