Maria Jones was found with multiple stab wounds

Pc Graham Jones, who is also known as Ivor, made a brief appearance at Teesside Crown Court on Friday when he denied the charge.

Mother-of-three Maria Jones, 36, was discovered with multiple stab wounds at their home in Ingleby Barwick, Teesside, in December last year.

Pc Jones, 40, was remanded in custody to appear for trial at Teesside Crown Court on 9 May.
