Workers at a Teesside factory which is being closed down are being offered help to find new jobs. In January, South Korean electronics giant Samsung announced it was closing its plant at Wynyard, near Billingham, with the loss of 420 jobs.
On Tuesday and Wednesday a jobs fair is being held, which will be attended by more than 40 regional employees.
A project group was formed to help the staff find employment and so far more than 100 have new jobs.
The two-day jobs fair has been organised by Samsung in partnership with the Samsung Project Group, which was formed by a number of public sector bodies.
Interview techniques
Many of those who have found new jobs have been helped through a job shop set up at Samsung and staffed by Jobcentre Plus.
Jobcentre Plus North East regional director Vincent Robinson said: "This is an all-out effort to find new employment for the people remaining at Samsung who have not yet found new work.
"In all, we have seen 410 people at our job shop on site since the redundancies were announced."
Among the support has been help with writing letters, CVs and with interview techniques.
The employers at the jobs fair, which is being held at the Samsung site, will include representatives from the software, health, transport, call centre, telecoms and electronics sectors.
