Police hoax callers disconnected
Two persistent hoax callers who made more than 70 emergency 999 calls to Sussex Police over two days have had their mobile phones disconnected.

Police said both callers had been cut off from their mobile phone network, preventing them from making or receiving any calls.

Insp Becky Newman said the measure would ensure 999 lines were kept clear.

The service provider from one of the phones used said ChildLine had also received a number of hoax calls.
