Barclaycard said it would offer staff support to find new jobs |
About 250 credit card staff in West Sussex are to lose their jobs as Barclaycard moves work out of Crawley. The company is moving its Sky Card operation to Milton Keynes after selling its Monument division and Portland House premises last year.
Staff, whose union Unite has been consulted, are to be offered jobs in the Buckinghamshire town.
Those who do not want to move will get support to find new jobs, said Northampton-based Barclaycard.
The Sky Card jobs will be taken over by customer service specialist Tsys.
"We are doing everything we can to offer our colleagues support and help them through this period," said Barclaycard chief operating officer Paul Fabara.
"To stay successful we must constantly review how we deploy our resources and manage our business. This is part of that process."
