A special effects technician working on the new Batman film who was killed during a stunt test run in Surrey has been named as a man from New Zealand. Father-of-two Conway Wickliffe, 41, was on a camera truck filming an unmanned special effects car, when it struck a tree last Monday afternoon.
His wife, Dee, described him as "my soul mate, my life and a wonderful father with a loving soul".
The accident happened on private land at a test track in Longcross.
In a statement, movie company Warner Bros Pictures said the accident had happened at a special effects facility for Batman: The Dark Knight.
Surrey Police are leading an investigation into the incident in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Batman: The Dark Knight, starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman, is due to be released in UK cinemas next summer.
