Experts debate refugee concerns
Refugees and asylum seekers living in Suffolk are to be given a forum in which to question people making decisions that affect them.

The Question Time style event is being held at the county council headquarters - Endeavour House in Ipswich.

The panel includes John Gummer MP and Richard Howitt MEP as well as experts on asylum and immigration issues.

Farsi, Arabic and Kurdish interpreters will be at the event to assist people to make a full contribution.

Councillor Jeremy Pembroke, leader of Suffolk County Council, said: "Some members of the refugee and asylum seeker community have said it can be difficult to highlight problems to politicians.

"This event is a way of bringing people face-to-face with some decision makers that can help to make a difference."
