Mobile phone cameras target crime
A new way to report anti-social behaviour has been launched using mobile phone cameras.

A scheme has been set up in Ipswich asking members of the public to photograph anti-social behaviour and send the shot straight to police.

It aims to target problems like graffiti, fly-tipping and vandalism. The photos will go to the Ipswich Anti-social Behaviour Network.

Photos can be sent to 07739 888 558 texting Ipswich and a description.

A spokesman for the network said they hoped it would be a success.

He said: "The photos are received directly to a team members' desktop, usually within seconds.

"They can then liaise with the appropriate agency to take action. This service will supplement the existing ways to report anti-social behaviour."
