Smoking ban at hospital entrances
All entrances to Ipswich Hospital and car parks on the site are to become no smoking areas from Monday.

A trust spokesperson said it hoped to promote a healthier environment and tackle the problem of cigarette butts littering the grounds.

But campaigners Forest - which defend the interests of adults who choose to smoke - said the ban was unnecessary.

Staff working within stressful environments should have the right to smoke during their break, it claims.
