Greene King's stable includes four popular tipples |
Suffolk brewer and pub firm Greene King has revealed a small boost to sales since new licensing laws were introduced in November. Greene King, which brews Abbot Ale, said like-for-like sales at its estate of 820 managed pubs were 1.6% higher in the 36 weeks to 8 January.
Growth for its 1,200 tenanted and leased pubs remained stable at 2.2% in the period.
The company bought Belhaven and TD Ridley last year.
In its brewing business, Greene King, which dates back to 1799, volumes rose 8% across the 36-week period with Old Speckled Hen outperforming its other leading brands such as Greene King IPA and Abbot Ale.
