Walnuttree Hospital in Sudbury may be closed altogether |
More than 3,000 people have responded to a public consultation into proposed health cuts in West Suffolk. The planned cutbacks at up to six hospitals will help reduce debts of millions of pounds run up by trusts across the county.
But campaigners claim West Suffolk Primary Care Trust (PCT) is putting finance before the local community.
The public consultation ended on Monday and a full report will go before the trust on 26 January 2006.
Sudbury's Walnuttree, Bartlett at Felixstowe, Newmarket, West Suffolk, Bury St Edmunds, Hartismere at Eye and St Clements at Ipswich may be affected.
