Miss Magnus will train pet rabbits how to use a litter box |
An animal expert will this week begin teaching pet owners in Suffolk how to train unruly rabbits. Pet behaviour counsellor Emma Magnus, 33, believes her rabbit training clinic in Kesgrave will be the UK's first.
Miss Magnus, who has starred in the BBC1 pet series Barking Mad, said she will show people how rabbits can be litter-trained, stopped from biting and taught to cuddle up.
She said: "Rabbits are becoming increasingly popular as house pets.
"As a result I'm coming across more and more people having problems with rabbits during the course of my general work, particularly problems with litter training and rabbits being aggressive.
"So I've decided to set aside a day when people who want help with rabbits can see me at my clinic.
"I thought it would be fun to start it just after Easter."
Miss Magnus added: "Rabbits are social animals and have similarities to dogs - they can be litter-trained and taught to cuddle up on your lap while you watch television."
The sessions are due to start at the Orwell Veterinary Group in Kesgrave from Wednesday.
