Plans for stadium prompt petition
Victoria Ground
The club moved out of the Victoria Ground 10 years ago
About 250 people living near the site of a former football stadium have signed a petition objecting to plans to turn it into houses.

Developers St Modwen Properties want to turn the land where Stoke City's former Victoria Ground was into housing.

However, local residents have said they would prefer to see the former ground turned into a park.

St Modwen said the proposals, which will go before councillors next month, include public green spaces.

The ground has been unused for about a decade after the club moved to the Britannia Stadium.
