A500 opens again after roadworks
The new-look A500 in Staffordshire has opened after two-and-a-half years of roadworks and delays.

There are three lanes on the carriageway which heads through Stoke-on-Trent for the first time.

Two new underpasses have been built where the Stoke Road and City Road roundabouts used to be.

The underpasses should have been included in the original project when the road was opened in 1977 but money ran out at the time.
