Arson suspected in Doulton fire
Royal Doulton's Nile Street building
The former factory is now a visitor centre
Arsonists are believed to have started a fire at a former Royal Doulton factory in Stoke-on-Trent.

Fire crews were called out to reports of a blaze at the factory in Nile Street, Burslem, on Sunday afternoon.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said the fire was on the upper floor of the building, now a visitor centre.

Crews got it under control quickly but said it was close to spreading to the rest of the building. The factory closed in March 2004.
