Hundreds apply for Queen's party
More than 250 people have applied for an invitation to a special tea party being planned for the Queen when she visits Stafford next month.

The proposed party is designed for those who celebrate their 80th birthday this year.

The Queen, who will be 80 in April, is coming to the town on 31 March.

The borough council asked people to apply for an invite and chief executive David Rawlings said residents are looking forward to the visit.
