A piece of land in Stoke-on-Trent which has been branded an eyesore by local residents could soon benefit from a cash injection from the city council. The triangle of land between Chell Street, Barthomley Road and Cromwell Street is currently a dumping ground for old cars.
Local people also say it is unsafe because there are no street lights.
The council has 78,000 to help improve the area and has been looking for ideas from local residents.
A survey of people who live nearby found they would like the land to be turned into a car park and the council is now in the process of applying for planning permission.
