A Coventry man aged 42 and a 35-year-old Wolverhampton man will now answer bail in April after further inquiries, police said on Wednesday.

The pair and a woman were held and later released after the desecration of the grave of Gladys Hammond in Yoxall, Staffs, in October 2004.

Mrs Hammond, 82, was related to a man involved with a guinea pig farm.

The men were arrested on 14 October, 2004.

The 62-year-old woman has also had her bail extended until April.

She was held at her home in the Burton-upon-Trent area on 1 December, 2004.

Gladys Hammond was the mother-in-law of Christopher Hall, who part-owns Darley Oaks Farm in Newchurch, Staffordshire, where guinea pigs are bred for medical research.

The Hall family had been subjected to a long-running campaign of intimidation by extremists, including hate mail, malicious phone calls, hoax bombs and arson attacks.

The burial plot of Mrs Hammond, who was laid to rest seven years ago, was disturbed on 7 October 2004.
