Jobs 'set to go' at mobile firm
Nearly 200 jobs are likely to go at the mobile phone company Singlepoint in Stoke-on-Trent.

A restructuring of the operation owned by Vodafone means 195 posts could go in accountancy and IT by April.

Singlepoint says the jobs in Stoke relate to the infrastructure of running a separate company but there is an existing infrastructure for Vodafone.

Spokesman Tom Phillips said: "Sad though it is, it was an inevitable part of the integration process."

Workers are being told they would be able to apply for other jobs within Vodafone.
