Boy dies after trampoline injury
Staff and students at a Staffordshire school have paid tribute to a 12-year-old boy who died after he banged his head while playing on a trampoline.

Ryan Morris, from Heath Hayes, near Cannock, was playing on a friend's trampoline earlier this week when he knocked his head.

He did not have serious injuries but complained of headaches at home.

His mother found him dead on Wednesday. A post-mortem examination revealed he had suffered a blood clot on the brain.

Teachers at Kingsmead Technology College - where Ryan was a year eight pupil - held a special assembly in his honour.

He was described as a "sporty, bright and hard-working" boy.

An inquest into his death was opened on Friday and adjourned for further inquiries.
