A songwriter is releasing a song he wrote for Elvis Presley, almost 30 years after his death. Geoff Morrow was part of a team of writers who composed several songs for the King during his recording career.
Another song, Where Would I Be, was written in 1977 but Elvis died before it could be recorded.
Now, Staffordshire Elvis impersonator Gordon Hendricks has been chosen to record it after Mr Morrow thought he sounded more like him than anyone else.
Mr Morrow said: "I thought Gordon could just recapture the spirit of that song.
"Over the years I have heard many Presley impersonators but when Gordon started to sing I actually shivered."
Mr Hendricks said being asked to record a song written for Elvis was the ultimate accolade for him.
Mr Morrow wrote several songs for Elvis including A Little Bit of Green, This is the Story, Let's Be Friends and Change of Habit, along with writing partners Chris Arnold and David Martin.
The new song is on sale at record shops in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
