Drivers warned over new roadworks
Motorists are asked to allow extra time for their journeys in Stoke-on-Trent because of roadworks on the A500.

Work is due to start on a new canal bridge at City Road and the Woodhouse Street culvert as part of the 40m Pathfinder Project to ease congestion.

A temporary carriageway has opened to take southbound traffic around the City Road roundabout.

The project will also improve the Trent and Mersey Canal, the River Trent, Fowlea Brook and Whieldon Road.

There are slight changes on the approach to the A500 from Whieldon Road.

Motorists are being asked to start their journeys earlier so they can get used to the changes.
