A 15th Century mansion house has gone on sale for nearly 2m. The Blackladies is set in 20 acres of countryside near Breward, Staffordshire, and boasts 13 bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
The house, which is owned by a retired chartered surveyor and his wife, also boasts an interesting history and was once home to a group of nuns.
The remains of six people were once found on the site of the property's old chapel by BBC's House Detectives.
Pat Bywater said her husband fell in love with the property straight away and felt they ought to buy it.
"But I didn't - I thought quite the opposite," she said.

"I thought we would be mad to buy it with four young children." Blackladies was once bought from Henry VIII for 134, but now has an asking price of 1.8m.
One of the stories about the house is that a pregnant nun was once bricked up inside it and left to die.
The property's cleaner Kitty Lakin said she hoped Blackladies would eventually be sold to a young family.
She told BBC Midlands Today: "It would be lovely to have a family with lots and lots of children to run about in the lovely gardens."
