Animal rights campaigners fighting plans to reintroduce greyhound racing at a Warwickshire sports stadium are holding a demonstration on Wednesday. Managers at Coventry Stadium in Brandon have applied for permission to build kennel facilities at the site.
Opponents say the proposals should be rejected to protect animals and the local environmental.
The stadium's commercial manager said 150 jobs would be created if the development is allowed to continue.
The application has caused anger among many people living near the stadium and has led to 95 formal objections being lodged with Rugby's planning committee.

Those against the development say it would be inappropriate on Green Belt land and that the noise would have an adverse effect on people using woods nearby. They have also raised concerns about the sound of dogs barking.
The organiser of the demonstration Janet Cummings said: "It is unthinkable that greyhound racing should be introduced here.
"The cruelty on the dogs is bad enough but there are also a number of environmental issues to think of.
"The modifications to the stadium will cause chaos for everyone living around the stadium."
Sunday market
The venue's commercial manager Jeremy Heaver said 150 full and part-time jobs would eventually be created at Brandon.
About 50 prospective employees turned up at a job fair at the 28-acre site in Rugby Road last Wednesday.
Mr Heaver is preparing to canvass local opinions about the 14m plans for the stadium's expansion, which include a Sunday market and new leisure centre.
The demonstration is due to take place outside Rugby Town Hall in Evreux Way from 1645 GMT on Wednesday.
The planning application is set to be discussed at a meeting that starts at 1730 GMT.
