An ambulance car responding to an emergency call in Staffordshire has been attacked by vandals. The incident happened on Friday when the vehicle, which had its emergency blue lights and siren on, was driving through Stone to attend a child who had stopped breathing.
The windscreen of the car was smashed by youths throwing stones at the vehicle.
Staffordshire Ambulance Service says it was an "appalling violent attack" and is the second such case in less than a week.
A similar incident involving a neighbouring service ended with an ambulance technician losing an eye.
Bob Lee from the ambulance service in Staffordshire is urging anyone with information about the latest incident to contact the police.
