Horse gear worth thousands stolen
Saddles and bridles worth more than �180,000 have been stolen from stables near Tamworth.

Thieves broke into stables at Crowberry Lane, in Middleton on Sunday.

They disabled alarms at the stables and stole 27 saddles and 39 bridles valued at �184,000.

It is believed to have happened between 2100 BST on Sunday and 0745 BST on Monday.

Police said the thieves would have used a vehicle to remove the equipment and appealed to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area.
