Ticket-less fans told to stay away
Festival goers
Fans are urged not to turn up at the gate
The organisers of the massive V Festival in Staffordshire are urging people without tickets to stay away.

They say all tickets have been sold and no more will be on sale during the two-day event at Weston Park, on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border.

As many as 70,000 music fans are expected to turn up to see headliners the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Coldplay at the festival on 16 and 17 August.

They will be joined by the likes of Mis-teeq, David Gray, and local band Athlete.

In previous years some tickets for the festival, now in its eighth year, have been available on the gate.

But this year demand has been higher than ever and organisers fear there could be problems for gate staff if people turn up on the day in the hope of getting in.

Bob Angus, Festival Director, said: "If you have not already got your ticket for this year's V Festival, please do not come down as we are completely sold to our limit and will not be keeping tickets aside to sell on the gate."
